Manufacturer’s Certification Statement This manufacturer’s certification statement provides the documentation required to receive an energy tax credit for qualifying exterior windows as defined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law on February 17, 2009. **Before June 1, 2009 windows that met Energy Star standards would be accepted as compliant for consumers who wished to take advantage of the tax credit. As of June 1, 2009 windows must have a U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) that is equal to or less than 0.30 to qualify. The thermal performance criteria for all Energy Star compliant Amcraft windows and doors have been independently tested and validated by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). Amcraft Building Products, 1195 Prince Hall Drive, Beloit, WI 53511 has identified the qualifying Amcraft Products that are eligible for a tax credit under the guidelines established by the IRS. The homeowner should save a copy of this document that is also available from the Amcraft Website at www.Amcraft.com, the NFRC labels from the purchased window(s) and your purchase receipt in their tax file. These documents will serve as proof to the IRS that the exterior window(s) purchased qualify for the 2009/2010 Tax Credit. Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this certification statement, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, the facts are true, correct and complete.
